Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 1, 2026 • Effective Date: August 1, 2026

1. Commitment to User Privacy

At DoubleClickTesting.com ("Double Click Tester", "we", "our", or "us"), we prioritize privacy by design. Our hardware mouse switch diagnostic tool is engineered to run client-side inside your browser without harvesting personal identifiers, keylogs, or sensitive device tracking.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store any of the following:

  • No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account registrations to use the diagnostic tester.
  • No Keystroke or Input Logging: Click event listener timing is evaluated locally in memory using browser API performance.now(). Mouse click intervals are never transmitted to external servers.
  • No Third-Party Data Selling: We do not broker, rent, or sell user diagnostic logs or usage metadata to advertisers or data aggregators.

3. Local Storage Usage

We utilize browser localStorage exclusively for client-side user experience preferences:

  • theme: Stores your preference for Dark Mode or Light Mode.
  • lang: Stores your language selection preference.
  • threshold: Stores your preferred failure threshold in milliseconds (e.g. 80ms or 50ms).

This data stays 100% on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache.

4. Server Logs & Security

Like standard web servers, our hosting provider may collect standard non-identifying technical server logs (such as IP address, browser user-agent, and HTTP request time) solely for network security, DDoS protection, and server uptime monitoring.
