Why Mechanical Switches Double Click
Traditional mechanical microswitches (such as Omron 20M, Kailh GM 8.0, or Huano Blue Shell) rely on a thin metallic leaf spring to form an electrical circuit upon pressing. Over millions of clicks, physical metal fatigue, surface oxidation, or static electricity cause the contact leaf to vibrate rapidly during a single press—sending two rapid electric signals (often 5ms to 80ms apart) to your PC.
